Profile and About Robert Lenz Artist

Robert Lenz studied painting and fine arts at the University of Illinois, where he graduated in 1961. During this time, his still life and landscape work was exhibited throughout the Chicago area. Upon graduating, he migrated to New York and began a successful and award-winning career as a Creative Director in the advertising business.

In 1998, thirty-five years later, Robert returned to his first love – painting. To refresh his earlier ambition, he studied at the Silvermine School of Art, the Washington Art Association, the National Academy of Design and the Art Students’ League in New York City.

Robert splits his time between New York City and South Kent, Connecticut, working full-time both inside and outside of his studio. Over the past 15 years, he has resumed a prolific career as both a painter and printmaker. His work has been exhibited exclusively at the Morrison Gallery in Kent, CT since 2005. In addition to exhibiting, Bob also teaches at the Washington Art Association.
